Today we went for a walk around the Open Gardens of Hackthorn Hall. beautiful place& took lots of pictures of flowers etc . Then the Red Arrows came screaming across the sky a few times . The old gentleman gardener that we were talking to said, "In a minute they will come back with wheels down ready to land" & low & behold they did! So, this was an unexpected shot, they were still going fast despite coming in to land in a mile or so! I had a couple of empty frames & this one, which is quite heavily cropped. If you look closely though you can just about see the pilot! Flowers can wait for another day!
@rjb71 we used to see them all the time at one time, because we lived on RAF Scampton - home of the Reds. This years Air Show has moved to Scampton ( not far from us) so I think we'll be seeing a lot of them.
Fabulous. I love the Red Arrows. Takes me back to our RAF days at RAF Valley and Akrotiri Cyprus where the Red Arrows came regularly to practice their routines.
Wonderful! Absolutely love the Red Arrows. My teenager is an RAF cadet, went with them to the Duxford Air Show a couple of weeks ago but the weather closed in and the Arrows didn't fly. Love watching them, so iconic.
@louannwarren I would have liked more light, but it was heading towards the sun. But, as it was a little unexpected, didn't expect them to be there, I was just amazed that it came out as well as it did!
