Lavender Bee by carole_sandford

Lavender Bee

Our Lavender is very bright at the moment, so todays photo was going to be of the flowers, but there was a bonus bee just sat on a flower for the longest time....
....so, who am I to pass up an opportunity?.....
Nice macro! Great colours here too.

Excellent capture. The bees never stop long enough for me to get a decent picture. Fav 🙂

I think he looks like he is doing an assault course and trying very very hard to get up and over that flower to the next challenge....... but then I am a bit nuts!

Absolutely wonderful capture.

Great detail and wonderful background blur. Must be cold there. The bee seems to be wearing his winter jacket.

@kwind @gardenfolk @paul10 @beryl @louannwarren @dawnee @onewing @happysnaps @fbailey @claudiet @phil_sandford Thank you all for your great comments & favs.
@johnsutton I usually have trouble with them constantly moving, but this one was like it had been glued to the flower!
@gardenfolk I have only ever seen Bees looking like this, I didn't know they could look any different?
@mbrutus As above, this is what our Bees always look like. Compared to your part of the world it probably is cold here, but in actual fact we have just had a few days of heatwave, with temperatures exceeding 30 degrees C !
Your visits, favs & comments are always very elcome.

@carole_sandford You bees are fat and furry. Our honey bees are just brown and black and elongated.

@gardenfolk You learn something new every day - thanks
June 25th, 2017
@carole_sandford I'd send you a photo but don't know how to do that.
June 25th, 2017
@gardenfolk no me neither, its not like facebook where you can post a picture in the comments - or at least if you can, I don't know how, lol

@carole_sandford I guess only to personal email. I did think about adding it to my project but the bee was not striking after I saw all the prettier, fatter, blacker and furry bees! Our honey bees are ordinary in comparison.

Thanks, they look a bit more like a wasp.
