I always thought refraction was when things appear to "bend", like the pencil in a glass of water. You google refraction in photography & the popular thing is the use of crystal balls, which is what I have done. I know from my A&P ( anatomy & physiology) studies from my nurse training ( a long time ago now) that the eyes see the world upside down & it is the brain that corrects our vision, so I guess the picture in the ball is how we really see it! My ocd wants me to rotate it, but this is it straight out of the camera. Hopefully if I have got this wrong, someone will enlighten me, please.
Many thanks for putting yesterday's photo on the popular & trending pages.
I love the upside down reflections on the crystal balks. I bought one. But it is too dense to see through. Who knew it had to be a special kind of crystal ball.
