Prickly Customers

Fruits of the Horse Chestnut tree. I collected these on Monday, with the intention of using them for a still life.

They look as though they are smiling. You can always tell that winter is close by when the horse chestnuts are appearing.

I love these shiny conkers. Just waiting for the trees at the end of the road to drop theirs. We collect some to place in a dish in the porch to deter the spiders. It seems to work .
