Deserted Barn by cdcook48

Deserted Barn

For NF-SOOC. This photo was taken in June but because it was shot on film and because the camera languished for a couple of months before I finished the roll I am only posting it now. (If it looks familiar it’s because I shot and posted a different view of it in August on my digital camera.) Apart from taking the scanned negative into Lightroom to digitize it and convert it to positive no editing was done. It somehow seems appropriate to post it in the sooc challenge now, weeks after it was taken, because that’s how it was back in the film days - you had to wait until the roll was finished before you knew what you had.

If anyone is interested I used Kodak Portra 400 loaded into a Canon AE1 with a 50mm f1.8 lens. An almost fifty year old camera/lens combination.

If you are interested in joining the Nifty Fifty Sooc challenge you can read about it here: https://365project.org/discuss/themes-competitions/49706/nifty-fifty-sooc-september-2024
A neat image, made even better because it was shot with film!

Lovely find and capture. I cannot even imagine what it must be like to shoot with film and then develop it.

Always makes me want to go and scrub the walls clean when I see this kind of graffiti

Wow! What a story telling image and story.

I think the graffiti helps tell the story.

Nicely captured old barn. I don't mind doing graffiti, as long as it's done well and in an approved place
