Fixer Upper. Only $2,000,000

Actually I have no idea what it sold for but I'm probably not far off. The house is slated for demolition and the lot is zoned commercial.
the bw conversion is perfect for it

Great shot with a wonderful grungy vibe.

It is going to cost a lot more money to fix it up too

Gob smacking, eye watering price for something to be demolished!

How much??? I guess it is the cost of the land primarily

Good example of land value less demolition.

The b&w treatment really adds to the feeling decline.

@ankers70 @casablanca Yes, and the lot has been zoned commercial and is in a choice location. Where I live, in a residential area, the house next door sold for$1.9 million, was torn down and a new house is being built. Vancouver and environs is among the most expensive real estate in the world. I honestly don’t know how anyone can afford it.

@cdcook48 Crazy world we live in. London is also on the insane list for housing costs. When we tried to move house last year, it was the costs that were so prohibitive for many places of interest. Once upon a time a million pound house was a mansion. Now it is just a standard 3 or 4 bedroomed home. I look at my son and think he is never going to be able to afford a place of his own. We love having him live with us, but one day he may find a lovely wife and then we can only hope the prices have become more realistic.

@casablanca Or that the wife he finds is independently wealthy. :)

@cdcook48 @casablanca Based on what has been described, we are also struggling with a similar problem in Hungary! It is almost impossible for today's young people to buy an apartment without the help of well-to-do parents. The price of rental apartments is also becoming unaffordable.

Fabulous shot of this - and that price sounds similar to the same sort of thing over here. Just crazy...

Mire jön a világ?

That poor old place was probably lovely once.
