@cromwell@sugarmuser@danacarruthers Thanks to all of you. Spring Grove Cemetery & Arboretum. A National Historic site. I wander around there often with the camera.
Hi Cathy. Did 'flashback' a few times to send you a message, and this one cropped up twice so here's the message.
Had this sent through on one of those annoying 'forward this to 8 friends' emails, but liked the words and thought it apt to share it with you today. I'm one of the Friends of our local church, and have said I don't want it to fall down on my shift, so I have a good idea how you're feeling. Keep faith, dear lady. x
Quote: "May today there be peace within. May you trust that you are
exactly where you are meant to be. May you not forget the infinite
possibilities that are born of faith in yourself and others. May you
use the gifts that you have received, and pass on the love that has
been given to you. May you be content with yourself just the way you
are. Let this knowledge settle into your bones, and allow your soul
the freedom to sing, dance, praise and love. It is there for each and
every one of us."
@filsie65 Well you just made me cry Phil - in a good way. Thank you. I needed to hear that. I know that God has a plan for each and every one of us and for our congregation. Maybe I should rejoice that He has picked this moment in time to create something new in us.
Thank you for caring.
And coming up with the tombstone photo is really very appropriate - and hysterically funny.
@cdonohoue Hello again! (I had to search to find your photo today!) I'm so glad you liked the verse yet so sorry it brought tears. If it brought you a touch of security in this troubled time I am very pleased.
I thought it both ironic and apt that this pic popped up twice in the flashbacks... the fact that you (rightly) considered this last resting place beautiful and serene is what made me go with it :)
I shared your story with our rector yesterday at the church fete, to illustrate what a lovely community we have here on 365 and how people are lovely the whole world over. It made me reflect that 'God moves in mysterious ways His wonders to perform' :)
