Today we took a stroll down Memory Lane. On 6.6.81 I married the love of my life. And yes, I know it is almost a week early, but it is the day he could get off work. 31 years ago we didn't have much money. For our honeymoon we went to Natural Bridge Park in Kentucky. We went back today. All those years ago we took all the trails. Today, several ruptured disks and a couple of hip fractures for me and knee surgery for him, we took the chair lift to the top. A really nice guy agreed to take our picture and I decided to use that for my journal today.
We celebrate well. So we will celebrate this anniversary for a while. I'll tell the story over the next week or so but this guy married me, raised my two young sons, helped care for my aging parents, is Papa to our entire host of little boys and still the love of my life 31 years later. I'm happy.
Praise God and congratulations! What a sweet couple you are!!! I love a good love story. My hubby and I have one, too. It is such a blessing, isn't it?!
Congratulations, what a beautiful day too! You are a very luck lady and he, a very lucky guy!!! I am happy you have each other, the one thing in life we all want is to be loved!
What a wonderful and heartwarming narrative, Cathy. It is so lovely to continue to be in love even after all these years. I have been happily married 10 years more than you. Have a happy anniversary.
Every day is worth celebrating when we are surrounded by love of family and friends! Enjoy!
