Here they are in order of appearance. My grandson Garrett is five. He is the light of my life. I love his hugs and his worm hunting. I love the freckles that have just made an appearance across those little cheeks. My son's job is taking him to Indianapolis, about two hours from here designing pharmaceutical plants. I have decided not to think about that too much right now.
Top right is my great grandson Aiden. He is a little over two and still speaks his own language. I love to watch his eyes light up. He has an attitude and knows how and when to use it. He is a great entertainer and loves to go running at Tom yelling "Papa."
Next is my nine day old great grandson Mason. He is so new - still all pulled up in that fetal ball that feels so at home on my chest. There is nothing in this entire world quite like a new baby. I got to go with Mason and Ashley to his first photo shoot today. The girl that did it graduated from college with a degree in photography. She has a studio in her home and was so good with him. I can't wait to see the shots. I was hoping for pointers but ended up just smiling and watching. Mason peed all over her and she just laughed and said it happened all the time.
What beautiful grandchildren, Cathy. And I love their names--I have a Garrett as well (which is a family name) You are obviously a very proud grandma. I am glad you are able to enjoy them right now.
What a nice way to show your grandson and great-grandchildren. They are beautiful and your could be a writer in your description of them. Now you sound like me, we could get a contest going, as you've put up with seeing mine for so long. But truly, their is nothing stronger than a grandmother's love, as their are no strings attached, except to your heart.
@maggiemae I'm sorry they are so far away from you. Mine are just a drive across town for now until Michael finds his house. @redrucksack I am proud of each of them. My herd of little boys. @yonnie I do enjoy them. They are each fun in different ways due to the spacing of their ages. @gerry Thanks Gerry. I think they are beautiful. @jantan They have that. Meemaw to Garrett and GiGi to Aiden and Mason. @aurorajane Thank you. They are precious to me. @granny7 Well, I raised a writer - I think that is the best that I can do. One of the awards that my youngest son won was judged by the woman who at the time was the Executive Director of the Freedom Center here in Cincinnati. She shook my hand and said "Thank you, for raising a writer." I dissolved. @sugarmuser Thank you Sharon. @janets Yes, Janet. I am blessed. @jackie8 Pickles is a good term. They are something else. @filsie65 They were cooperative.
