Like a Bird on a Wire.....well, at least in my backyard. After putting in the bird feeders I am on a roll. Now, mind you, I don't have a clue what it is, but it is really cute. Calling all of my bird friends - ??
Sorry I haven't been doing much commenting. After a year of 365 I have finally gotten up enough nerve to try and sell some shots. I don't want to make a fortune - I just want the money for the next lens, which would probably help me get a decent bird shot. Fine Art America makes a website for you for $30. All of the marketing end comes off the top. Who knows. At least it is keeping me busy.
Thanks to Vee I now know that this is a European Starling
Nice shot- but can't say I like them- they're pests and if you see one, you'll probably see a hundred more. They drive out the "good birds" by sheer numbers. But you did get a good shot of him and best wishes on your photo endeavors!
Wonderful capture of this starling! I love these birds so funny to watch especially if you have a bird bath! They all jump in together and splash away - great to watch and shoot! Well done through your window!
Great shot - good luck with your photo endeavours... let us know how you get on! @henrir In answer to your question earlier this week, this is a starling :)
It's a starling. I actually think they have beautiful markings but they tend to be big bullies of the bird world. Their mass flying is something to behold as Carol @carolmw pointed out. It's called a murmuration xx Here's a link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eakKfY5aHmY
