How can you make sense of the senseless? Is nowhere safe?
I don't have any answers. I did a lot of tasks this morning for Baby Bear tomorrow. I had toiletries and clothes to buy. My last stop was at Carter's as they always have a sale and I always have a coupon. I know the folks in there pretty well as I am in there all of the time. Of course the conversation turned to yesterday's tragedy in Boston. The girl that was ringing me up is getting ready to run in Cincinnati's Flying Pig marathon - and suddenly she is wondering about more than how bad she is going to ache the next day. She wants to know if there will be a next day.
So, this afternoon I went to Spring Grove to do some much needed solitary time - just me and the camera and the dead. My only answer is to pray - and at times like these, when I have no earthly idea what to pray for, I know that the Holy Spirit prays for me - and for all of us that are outraged, scared and grieving. May God bring us peace.
You have put into words what we are all thinking and the image feels like a fitting tribute for those who survived a new life will begin griow and flower : its our Marathon in the UK on Sunday and I know many worried participants
Our condolences to your country Cathy & all the injured & dead, such a terrible thing to happen.
We nearly bought one of these trees last year, I wish we had now!! It was on here I saw it & loved those flowers coming out of the wood.
Our heart felt sympathy with you in this pointless & unnecessary tragedy your country has suffered -- but Cathy its nice to know that you can turn to the wonders of nature to show not all is bad Lovely composition Cathy
Such a lovely shot. Love the color. You are always so wonderful to work so hard to help others.
And, like you, at times like this my only peace comes through prayer and the knowledge that God is watching over us. I do not have any answers as to why people have to die like this or go through a tragedy like this, but I know God loves His children.
I appreciate the beauty of those flowers. They bring peace. And I agree with you about prayer. Yvonne said it beautifully....She always does. I do hope you find peace and comfort.
@yonnie I agree with you wholeheartedly. Last night I watched the children singing and found solace there. Today I had to go one of the places that I feel closest to God.
