It is raining in Cincinnati. Right now that is a good thing because we need it. It also gave me the gift of a good memory. Rain on warm pavement - I'm a little girl on the front porch with my grandmother who lived with us - I was a little spoiled. There was a bit of thunder involved. She told me that was the angels bowling. I don't think that I have ever heard thunder that I didn't think of my grandmother. I hope that I live on in good memories with my herd of little boys.
This is beautiful, Cathy! And such wonderful memories! We always loved thunderstorms in the Montana mountains and also called it bowling... when the thunder peal would end, we'd all yell, "STRIKE!"
What a beautiful shot, Cathy. The color is so beautiful. And I love your memory. I so hope I can continue to make lots of memories with my children/grandchldren, etc.
Gorgeous! Is this one of yours? I also love the smell of rain on pavement and my Mom told me that thunder was the angels bowling, and that fluffy snow falling was the angels shaking out their feather beds.
Beautiful shot - the swirls of colour are glorious.
When I was older I heard it said that when a storm happens, it's because God is having a party and they are playing musical bumps... the flashes are the angels taking photos! Someone would run to the window to try to get on the photo rather than being scared :)
