So I told you the story of Tom dropping and breaking my macro lens in the mountains........when I replaced it I went from a 60mm Tamron to a 100mm Canon. I almost took it back as it is a real learning curve to go from one to the other. I have to be careful not to get too far in. I think I am going to like it. I went down to the butterfly show today - it ends this week....- and worked with the new one some more. The only reason that I cropped this guy's wings some is that they were tattered - little fingers.
I am also tagging this for Chatoyant. I think there is true luster to a butterfly's wings.
Thanks for the PP!
great job Cathy! Hang in there! the 100mm is a wonderful lens. you need to develop a slow steady hand. Just about every macro shot I love is shot with a 100 mm canon. don't give up on it yet!
instant fav! The color is magnificent! The details in his eyes! And I like butterfly and dragonfly shots at times when they are cropped down and wings out...it shows more details in their faces. I have the hood for my 100 mm lens...helps me keep from getting in too close and bashing my lens.
