This requires a bit of explanation. I was out in the garden looking for something different. Even I have seen a few too many flower pics - however, they will be fading fast. I noticed that I could see the shadow of the big bumblebees right through the Rose of Sharon tree. I worked and worked and I knew what it was but nobody else would ever know. So I settled for this one taking flight for the next flower. Up close he is covered in pollen.
It has been in the 90's here for days and today and tomorrow are no different. I hope to get a bit further afield soon but I hate the heat and humidity and it is not fond of me.
Beautiful shot. I bet I would have got the shadow one too! I know how cool those are. You have put into words so well why I don't venture out much for photos these days either. It hardly seems worth spending time outside dripping in sweat for the possibility of finding a shot worthy to post.
Kudos for trying something new! I know what you mean about being over run by flower shots at the moment. They won't last much longer and will have to find new and less cooperative subjects.
Love the way the pink flower stands out so much against the dark of the tree & your little bee balanced on the top! In the nineties ....that is hot, they reckon we have had a really good summer but I don't think it's been that amazing here...quite autumny now too!
