Thank you all for your fav's and your wonderful comments on my drop shot. I am honored that you put it on the PP.
I was at Spring Grove today to work on an assignment for a Google+ class that I participate in. I had to show my biggest fear. Well, I took the shot of the rattlesnake in the Rockies - once is enough. So, death. When I was a little girl my grandfather decided that I needed to see downstairs at a funeral home so I would not be afraid of death. All the commotion that caused did just the opposite (You really shouldn't do that to little girls). I really hate our "death" rituals. No stuffing and putting me in a box!
This 365Project has helped me to work through a lot of that and I found that I love Spring Grove. We will be cremated, save until we can combine the ashes (dogs, too) and now we have to decide if we want a niche or into the ground. My fears now are the normal ones, I think. One of us will be left behind for a while, not able to take care of myself..........
Love your thought s on death & I have to agree with the stuffing bit & I am coming round to the idea of cremation too.....we are running out of good burial ground in this country too so a more ethical way probably!
Don't think about it yet......
Love your dragon fly shadow, I think all these stunning insects make such beautiful photos!
We have such a strange attitude to death in our culture now.
Is everything OK? You sound a little deep tonight.
