Time For A Change

Stay tuned for a non-political announcement -

I emailed the White House again today. Last time I at least got a sort of form letter reply. Today - they are getting too much mail to answer!

I have a plan. I honestly don't think it would be hard to put into place. We ALL get the same health care (one simple sentence instead of a bill that nobody has ever read). Our elected officials have term limits that would go into effect retroactively (People with what they think of as Power have forgotten all about the ones that bestowed that on them). And, last but not least, they HAVE to balance the budget. What would we do if I didn't pay my bills? Our little world wouldn't exist long - which is what is happening in our larger world. All sounds pretty simple to me. I realize it would take time to put all of that in place - but it sure is a lot better than what is happening now.

Now for the actual commercial. I took this shot of a dress that I wear, then I applied a few filters to make it a little more "artistic." This is now on sale on Zazzle on tons of items. The link is for a watch - Time to Change the world.

Politicians the world over forget who they work for.
Love the colour in this.

This photo reminds me of the 60's and 70's! As for writing politicians... I gave up a couple of years ago... they didn't listen to anything I said... I guess they only listen to the ones that agree with them... occasionally I would get a form letter in return that did not even address the subject matter or question I had. "Sigh"

I'll vote for you! I've been thinking about breaking down the barrier at Yellowstone/Grand Teton Park myself. This is definitely getting old.
Love the colors of the photo. I would never believe it was a dress!

This is superb - you do design these items? I agree with your reasoning!

Cathy for President - you have my vote! Nice image

Love the colours and your commentary. Thanks for your frequent visits during my absence.

Too bad more polititians (on both sides of the border) lost their common sense along the way. Nice abstract!

Beautiful, colorful abstract, Cathy! apparently to run for public office you are required to have no common sense!

@maggiemae No, wish I knew how. I bought it. I am just so frustrated by politics I needed to go back to a time I believed in.

@grammyn I totally agree. When power goes in, common sense goes out the window. It is ridiculous.

@timandelke What happens to people? I can't stand politics - I always vote, just don't trust them.

Wonderful capture, really cool design and processing. You are so right about the government. It is getting ridiculous.

What a fabulous shot

Nice shot. You don't expect politicians to listen to the people do you? Your ideas would be termed "naive" and "unworkable" even if they are right.

Super abstract effect!!Hope they sort your healthcare problems out over there!!
October 9th, 2013
Difficult to disagree with you Cathy. If it is any consolation, our politicians are just as useless, preferring ideology over common sense.

i think you might be a hippy wearing that retro 60's styled colours :)
October 9th, 2013
Why don't politicians listen to common sense eh? Nice bit of psychedelia.

@cdonohoue - since you brought the topic up, I read a book prior to the 2008 election and in the book it was stated that the approval rating of Congress in the 2004 election was very low, but not as bad as today, and yet over 80% of both houses of Congress was reelected. That is what they are counting on in the future. I want to see both houses swept clean and a new president with a completely new direction!
