I love my neighbors. They give me free reign of their yard and the garden that they inherited and I prune their one rose bush and tell them what to do with the garden. I love the dreamy quality of this one. It is one of those days. While I was out there watching the dancing leaves, I was all too aware of the coming Winter and soon to be naked trees. I have to make hay while the sun shines.
Lovely mood piece! Your neighbors are lucky to have you. I used to work in a nursery, and time and again we heard stories that made us wish every house came with a proviso - "Don't dig anything out until you've lived there a year and know for sure what it is!"
@therubysusan They both work such long hours that the garden is the last of their worries. But the rose bush is a long stem red that is out of this world so I just go over and take care of it when I do my own.
