I can't believe I forgot to post yesterday. It was a beautiful day - sunny and in the 50's. After some very good news at the docs in the morning I decided to take myself to the zoo. I love it in the winter. I only go to see certain animals - the ones that love winter! These guys were really happy. They were up and moving about. I spent close to an hour shooting and watching them. This one was probably about six feet in front of me and I had to disappear the fence. I loved this particular shot. Snow Leopards are high on the endangered species list. We hope for big things from this pair.
I also went to see the Penguin Parade again. There is nothing funnier. As they waddled along I was talking to the keeper. He said there is no running away for these guys as the waddle is top speed on land. I also spent time with the Red Pandas. They are about as cute as it gets.
If you get a chance, go to your local zoo in the winter. The animals are frisky, nobody is pushing you out of the way and I didn't have to move small children to take a shot.
