Comet is Garrett's dog. He was a stray that they rescued off the streets of Cincinnati. Comet and Garrett bonded. I think that the love of animals is passed down from generation to generation. We are a dog family. My son Michael lost his beloved Katie this year. He had her for about 14 years - prior to meeting Michele. As you can see, Michael and Comet get along pretty well also.
