Thanks to all of you for your kind comments on my ramblings about my Mother and cactus flowers. I'm sure that many of us are missing our Mothers this weekend. So, I bought myself an orchid plant. Spent a bit $9.99 on this. I really hope I can keep it alive. It is the three ice cube deal. I thought it was different with the purple diamonds.
I have to confess I didn't read your whole story yesterday and feel a little ashamed now taking that shortcut. My husband is in the hospital and I was trying to keep up with 365 so was abbreviating my comments. I am convinced you have the best parts of your mother in you and sound as if you are continuing in her footsteps. You are her legacy. She sounds like a lovely lady and I am sorry you can't spend this week end with her but you ARE honoring her just by being you!
@grammyn katy you just made me cry. Remember how you never wanted to be like your parents and now that is a high compliment! I so hope your husband is alright. You all have been through way too much. He'll be in my prayers
