Zion National Park is also in Utah but about two hours away. They still have some of the same reddish color in the formations, but also a whitish rock. They have more green things growing all around.
Thanks so very much for all of the comments and favs on yesterday's tree over Bryce. I don't think I have ever had so many fav's on one shot.
Beautiful shot. I have been to Zion once, many years ago and wish digital cameras were invented then. My photos are on paper somewhere in my stacks of photos. I remember this color and the way it looks there so well. So beautiful. FAV
I agree with @darsphotos about wishing I had a digital camera on my long-ago trip. But sometimes you just have to make do with memories, which are, in fact, pretty awesome.
I just love the warmth of the colours and tones in this arid landscape

It is beautiful in color but looks very harsh for a landscape. I can't imagine crossing through here in a wagon or trying to settle anywhere near here!
