Sometimes I pray for patience. I'm not good at it. I find that I too often think about what comes next instead of what is "now." I spent some time last night sitting in the yard and hoping for hummingbirds to find the new feeder. They did - just not while I had a camera in my hands. They are such glorious little tiny creatures. I hoped they would return - but not while my patience held out. So, I took a picture of a little bird sitting on a large iron flower in my garden. He is quite cute and as deserving of a click as any old hummingbird. But he isn't as gorgeous or as swift - sort of like me when I think about it. And he had all the patience in the world to sit there while I took his picture. I think he is teaching me a lesson that I need to learn.
Like most of us I think Cathy...we can't all be high flyers & movers in this world! Us slow plodders & ordinary run of the mill folks are as important as the more showy! I think your little bird is beautiful & patient.
A beautiful capture of this patient bird. Your narrative is interesting to me - patience is a hard one to learn and it is so helpful in many situations. Something I need more of too, especially when it comes to photography.
