OK. I spent a bit of time in Colorado trying to figure out how they were handling their new legalization of Marijuana laws. I'm of that age - and yes, I did inhale. Now, finding my people is easy. You look for someone my age wearing tie dye, guys still tying to braid what is left of their hair, little to no makeup - we have our "tells" So, when I thought I was in a shop with enough incense lit to choke a horse I'd ask them. Well, turns out that they are currently taking it on a county level. Shops that sell it have a little insignia in the window - I wanted to shoot some but didn't come that close. We did find a medical dispensary and they would have like to let me but, like a pharmacy, you aren't allowed in the back. This sign was on the counter of our motel. Tom had to sign a paper that we wouldn't get high in the room.
Don't get me wrong. I treasure my lungs and wouldn't have bought any if I had found it. I just was curious after all these years how they would handle it. I am pro legalization because I want the tax dollars and I'd like to see the gang violence drop in our city. Heroin is becoming a big concern as it is such a "cheap" high and folks are dying. Something to think about.
