I'll never catch up to myself but I am trying to keep playing. I took this a few days ago but am using it today. Today is my baby's 38th birthday. I have no idea where the years have gone - I only know they have been good ones. He was a child with an active imagination that could keep himself busy for hours playing elaborate games with his "guys." He found his love of reading and writing early on and told me he wanted to be a writer from about the age of 12. Today he is teaching at Northern Kentucky University - English and Writing. I hope he follows through and somebody picks up his book. If not, I hope he remains as happy as he is today. He knows what he wants and he is in the perfect spot for him. Isn't that what we all want for our children. So, I give you a little Autumn Reflections for my reflections.
Fav , fav , fav , this is a Wonderful " autumn reflection " , colours textures and shapes -- so very pleasing to the eye ! Love the light from behind the bridge !
Lovely autumn scene, Cathy, and congrats on your son's road to a great profession. I wanted to be a writer from a very young age but my parents sadly did not have the benefit of education and did not want to encourage such a strange interest so that had to be my teenage rebellion!
Sharon, This is lovely an your words resonate with me. My babies are suddenly adult and I'm a grandma and it is hard to believe. Also I am a writer and I sent out a lot of manuscripts before I finally decided to try th new way of publishing my own books on createspace. Now I have three novels and 2 children' picture books and they have been read around the world. I don't have a huge audience and I still have to have a day job but the good reviews and the joy of presenting to schools have been so wonderful. Tell him not to give up if he can't find a traditional publisher. The publishing world is really open in up.
Just love this composition - the light and colors are fabulous! What a nice reflection you offered for your son. Congratulations to him and the family that brought him where he is! (Doesn't just happen as we know!) Fav
