Crypt Keeper

I know that I need to get with the program and get a hold of my camera and shake off the dust - but first I have to find my personal reset button - and it's hiding. I'm still so caught by the grief of my friend whose son overdosed last Sunday. We've been friends for about 58 years - when we were 5 years old in Sunday School. Her faith is strong and she sounds really good - but I know her, she is holding it all together right now all of the rest of those around her. I'll keep doing what I'm doing - praying for them and staying in touch. That is one of the things that age has taught me - reach out even if you have no idea what to say. Today I told her to climb in God's lap and ask for a hug.

I found this shot of the lady that guards the entrance to a crypt at Spring Grove. Behind her is a gorgeous stained glass window that really shines if the sun is just right. Does is make eternity any better to be resting in a fancy crypt?
I know (unfortunately, I've had two quite personal experiences with suicide - one a young 14 year old I'd been working closely with and I was so uneasy that day - maybe a premonition - that's been 20 years ago and I still remember it like it was today) so I know somehow what you're trying to handle both for yourself and for your friend. You're right in just trying to stay in touch. Quite a lovely posting. My thoughts and prayers are for you and your friend tonight.

What a lovely capture...and so sorry to hear of your friend's son. It is hard to know what to say. I have a friend whose son committed suicide years ago and still something will triger a memory for her and all I can do is hold her hand!

It doesn't make a bit of difference but it gives you a great photo!

You are a bessing to your friend I know and even if you can't tell know that you are making a difference in her life and she appreciates it!

Your re-set button will work when it is right. In the meantime let go and let God.
