I am hoping that one of you bird folks can tell me what I have. He is really large - I am using a telephoto lens and cropped way up. I think it is a hawk and the reason the birds have stopped coming to my feeders. I was working at the sink and just happened to see him fly into the tree. I went upstairs to see into my neighbor's yard and the mate is on the fence. Hawk?
