I took this shot at Spring Grove because it made me laugh. I have a collection of headstones like that. However, I posted this on FB and found out that "Levi Coffin was dubbed "Father of the Underground Railroad" and a group of African Americans actually erected this memorial for him as a tribute to his work in helping so many enslaved persons escape. He was a noted abolitionist who had a furniture business in Cincinnati in addition to being part of the Underground Railroad."
Glad to see some of America’s history still standing. Breaks my heart so many monuments of history have been destroyed. History is history, good or bad. We need to learn all the lessons.
