I needed a dark blue for the thumbnail challenge today. I took this at Union Terminal as I stood in line for tickets to our Children's Museum. We were going to take the kids to Coney Island today for Owen's birthday but we were to get to 105 this afternoon. So we went to the Museum and played all afternoon. The Terminal was completed in 1933 in magnificent art deco style and served upwards of 20,000 passengers a day during WWII. After the decline of the railroads it went downhill. It was a shopping center and now is the home of the Cincinnati Museum Center. The rotunda is lined with these beautiful mosaics. I'll have to try and do them justice on another day. The Amtrak still stops at the Terminal.
