Thank you all so very much. Imagine my surprise to get up this morning and find myself on the PP. I should tell you more often that I'm not feeling the best. Fine this morning, by the way.
This is for the challenge. You know by now that I am a collector of things. When we planned the garden we first put in the wall for a backdrop. I had planned all along to put things out there that would make me happy during our long winters. I had collected sunshine guys through the years that were in different places in the house. When we moved here they ended up in the attic. So this wall was the perfect place to put a few of them. And what better image for outside than the wind. I took this in full sun so I could get the shadows and was also rewarded with one of my tangerine variegated roses in full bloom. Couldn't stand to move it to get the perfect circle.......
Very nicely done. Great shadows. I hope you're going to stick to the circles for the full week now. I think a change of shape might not fit into the look of the calender so well...sorry, my OCD tendencies wanting it all to look a certain way :o) xx
What a great idea to have a wall of things that make you happy! This looks very cheerful even in B&W and I don't think the rose takes anything away from the circle
@psychographer I probably will as they are easier to find. @happypat Thanks, Pat. @filsie65 I have reached the age that I do a lot of things to make myself happy. My husband and I were just talking about that last night. If not now, when? @soboy5 Thanks Danny. Much appreciated.
I think this is beautiful, the texture shows up so well and the rose add's to it. It's a great circle for our challenge this week. It looks great in B & W.
The black and white with the shadows gives a lovely dramatic feel and the circle shape is unmistakable. I want to congratulate you on PP that is a wonderful achievement :)
@happypat Thanks, Pat.
