It rained in Cincinnati!
My grass is grateful and my flowers are dancing. We actually have some puddles. One of my favorite childhood smells is rain on hot pavement - and I haven't smelled it much this summer.
Gorgeous! I love that smell too and have had too little of it this summer. I'm glad that you're getting some much-needed rain. It passed us by - can you believe that our forecast called for rain today, but I had to water the garden anyway?
@noragentian It does have to be really hot - July or August pavement. @timandelke It is a comfort smell for me - that and burning leaves. @anazad511 We do need the rain badly.
