The Lady and the Tigers

Have I told you lately just how special the guy that I married is? He came home early from work because he knew I was getting a little antsy about tomorrow. We went to the Cincinnati Zoo to see the new Cat Canyon. I am in awe of what they have done. All of the big cats have their own enclosures and they are huge. The path winds down into a canyon with overlooks of the different cats and windows to their worlds. I asked this little one's folks if they minded if I photographed her. She was totally fearless - too young for anything else as this Malayan Tiger paced back and forth in front of that pane of glass. As he would go by he would bump his head into the glass. I am betting it was close to feeding time for both of the tigers to be as active as they were. Wish I knew how to compensate for the glass......
Amazing (and a little terrifying) how children are so fearless. I think this is a wonderful picture, full of a child's wide-eyed innocence and wonder on how they view the world.

It's a lovely shot. I use a circular polariser to cut through glare, but have no idea on how to eliminate it in post processing. Cheers Cathy, its a great shot

Beautiful capture. Love how the little girl doesn't mind being so close to that big cat.

@sailingmusic It couldn't have been over a 1/4 inch but more than just glass.
