@roddy - Haha thanks a lot Suze! The background is a shiny, golden-colored gift bag. I shined a light directly on the gift bag to make the bag shine brighter but it also resulted in bokeh. To tell you the truth, I didn't really expect bokeh at all. It just appeared and I was like, "Cool!" :)
@kimshots - Thanks Kim! I thought about off-centering the marbles but the symmetry looked much better. Plus I figured since it was positioned low in the frame it made a pretty good composition.
g'day chris - I love the colour, symmetry and agree with all the other comments - it is a lovely shot - I was thinking that if you included the shadow of the bottom marble thingy that it would slightly lift the focus of the main marble and be an even more completely delightful photo - please take that as my subjective constructive crit
@janetoner - Thank you jT, really glad you liked the shot. Also thank you for the kind critique. I didn't even pay attention to that shadow but you're right, your idea would help the overall composition be even better. This photo is cropped so I'll give it a try! Thanks again! :)
