Since I'm shooting darker black and white photos this week a low-key shot was on the agenda. For this particular low-key photo, my goal was to make the lower half of the apples 'disappear' in the shadows. Hence while taking this exposure, I lifted my light source, which was a simple lamp, up into the air so that the light covered the top half of the apples. It made my arm a bit tired waiting for the long exposure, but the effect was really cool to capture. :)
