He sits on his seat on the North Bay sea front a tribute to Freddie Gilroy and the Holocaust.. Wikipedia’s page gives all the info on this 11ft Sculpture, just use the title as a search. He is made to 2x the size scale so you can imagine how huge he is.

My father was also in the Royal Artillery with Freddie Gilroy when they “liberated” Bergen Belsen Concentration Camp in 1945. He never talked about it but I found out through other research. Very sad and poignant sculpture.
