Gone

This is all that remains of the steel works, it is such a sad sight, to me it looks like a boat sat on a pile of rubble. It’s the end of an era, I was a only a teenager when I first saw it and here it is over 60 years later, I know it’s only industry but it was a landmark fixture at Redcar and I am genuinely sad to see it go.

That sure is derelict. It is great you have the person and the car to give perspective to the size of the remains. Good photography opportunities.

It does look like an abandoned ship. Cool but sad capture.

It looks like a ship wreck. I like the dramatic clouds, the car lights and the wet road.

It reminds me of a sore tooth. When it is, is disturbing, and when it is removed, it leaves a painful hole. Great shot and edit.

Places like this become part of one's life after all those years and one feels sad to see them disappear. I like shot with the two persons and the moving car which bring the scene to life.

It is a shame that it could not be repurposed

In many ways a very sad sight, but it makes a great photo! I remember seeing the area in Rotherham where my dad worked for over 30 years in a steel rolling mill. Everything was cleared and it is now an out of town shopping centre. I do hope there are more productive ideas for this site!
