We watched this barn owl for 20 minutes, such a privilege to see it up quite close.
It is not always the best photograph that gives us most pleasure, it is an emotional rather than a technical choice. It is all about our connection with the subject. That is why I chose this collage of my son David.
This is probably one of my most favorite of all times. These babies took flight on Tuesday but I so enjoyed watching them grow up and was amazed at how dedicated and hardworking their parents were to bring them up happy!
I put my camera on its tripod and set up the tripod in the passenger seat of my 4Runner. Set the camera for long exposures (f22, ISO100, roughly 1/2 second) and used the remote. I then fired off about 900 pictures on a 5-hour road trip. This was my favorite of that batch.
I do not often do sunsets or sunrises. Don't know why. I guess I am a bit of a contrarian and try to be different so I try to avoid the popular subjects of flowers and sunsets. But - this one had to be done!
@30pics4jackiesdiamond In fact, I WAS driving my SUV. The tripod was set up in the passenger seat, the camera was focused straight ahead and being triggered by wireless remote.

I took this fun photo for my Get Pushed Kiwiana challenge. Nothing more "Kiwi" than a pair of jandals on a barb wire fence!
This was taken while on a bike ride. I happened to stop for a break, It has been ages since I tried panning so I was rapt with the result.
