What's your favourite photo over the past week, between 8 and 14 October?
You can post your favourite photo by copying and pasting the code from the 'Share' box that's in your photo page, together with info on when it was taken. Part of the challenge is only selecting ONE picture, so no cheating!
I had a REALLY off week - between the sickies and work and all, but I at least got a little something up each day. Hopefully next week my mojo will return!
Sometimes nature drops these beautiful compositions right in front of me and I don't fully see them until I upload. That was definitely the case with this photo- which is NOT a selective coloring shot- it's straight out of nature!
I think it must be this one as I only carried my iPhone with me on a rainy and dreary day and still managed to get this shot when the sun showed itself for a minute
As I really went out of my comfort zone, but was rewarded with a good result - and lovely feed-back from this amazing community :) You all make me happy! :D
Hard choice as I love my photos this week for different reasons. So I chose my son all dressed up (as a practice run) for his first day of hockey. I just love his pose!
This one, because it's so different than most of what I like to take photos of. I walked through this courtyard, saw the scene and just started snapping away.
I know it's cliche, but I was having a great time with friends at the beach. And besides, beach sunset with seagull is a CLASSIC!
Plus I love the opposing diagonal lines of the waves....
My favorite of the week is the one I took on 10/14 ("Trail of Lights"). Most of my images are shots of what I see with only a few changes made to set up the shot. This one was a concept first, followed by my gathering the elements, setting them up, and finally waiting for the best moment to trip the shutter.
I love how this shot turned out. It's one of many I took from my passenger seat in our car as we drove around southwest Michigan last week. Just about all of the shots from the car were of fall colors. I wasn't even aware when I took this that it'd be of naked trees. Purely random and lucky.
yesterday's photo :)
this one for me

I've always loved the swans that come to Chequamagon Bay each year. This was the first time I got a picture.
My niece.

Photo from the 9th October. Right spot, right time. No thinking about it, no processing.
and got such great feedback on the use of the 'natural framing'.
My favorite is the NASA Tweetup today, with special access to SOFIA, the 747 airliner with a telescope.
Plus I love the opposing diagonal lines of the waves....
I love how his eyes convey so much!!
