Today it is Norway's national day. Here in Norway the children are in focus on this day. They walk in a parade. Schools have corps. Here in Trondheim there are approximately 50 different schools in the parade. The children are wearing bunad or other fine clothes and they bring the Norwegian flag. A lot of ice creams and hotdogs is consumed on this day, and in the afternoon there are activities on the different schools.
Happy National Day. Today is the birthday of a friends daughter, she is 6 today. She tells us that when she is older she is going to Norway so everyone there can buy her pressies...LOL

I belong to a Welsh folk dancing group and we have made exchange trips with a team from Sotra near Bergen. l have had many opportunities to enjoy lovely Norwegian folk dances with their melodious tunes. The costumes worn by each team member, of course, reflected the region of the Country from where that dancer originated. They were all so special and beautiful.
