27th April 2015

Today I was on my own as the others were golfing so on the basis of ‘third time lucky’ I headed back to Ragusa to see if a little antiques shop that I had spotted was open. I collect boxes and I saw a nice little wooden one.

This time I managed to navigate myself to the lower town so I did not have to walk down and then up the very many stone steps leading to the older town. This time the shop was closed again but the shutters were open. I was determined to find the owner and walking a few steps up the hill I found a workshop with the same name with a man who looked very much like Einstein working inside.

Despite my lack of Italian, I was in luck and he had the keys to the shop. The box was also very reasonably priced so I did not even bother to haggle. I am so pleased to finally have my box. This however is not a photograph of my box, rather a very pregnant cat who was resting in the shade by the car when I returned. She was so friendly.
A very pretty mum-to-be cat, and I like the textures of the bench she's lying on. So glad you got your box Emma.
