This could be Spring at Hampton Court… except I took it today!

Unbelievably we saw daisies, buttercups, dandelions, snowdrops, crocuses, primula, ceanothus and aconites all in flower today.

The birds were singing as if it was March - I'm worried they may start 'amorous liaisons' and then if it turns cold they will not have enough food to feed the young. I also found four frogs enjoying the rain in our back garden last night. Very, very strange.

As the weather forecast suggests this may be the only sun we see for the next few days, we decided to walk over to see the ice skating at Hampton Court Palace. Although I do not skate (far too clumsy) one of our recent Christmas traditions is to enjoy a hot chocolate in the ice cafe and watch the skating but… it was closed as it is too warm and the ice was covered with a layer of water. What a shame for all those people who have sessions booked for Christmas.
Wow, and nice light too.
