9th November 2017

Despite still suffering jet lag I am all systems go.

First a haircut at my friend Steph's house (and a chance for me to see her lovely spaniel puppy River again). Then onto Squires to deliver their Christmas cards and then onto Twickenham to stock up my spinner there.

This is the river at Twickenham. It is low because it is the annual 'draw off' at the moment during which the locks are left open at Richmond during low tide so basically most of the water flows out leaving the river bed pretty much exposed. This gives officials a chance to clear rubbish and check all is well for the boats and shipping on the river. It almost looks like it is possible to walk right across to Eel Pie Island at some points.

In the afternoon I got around to ordering more prints for this years Sparkle show which I rather rashly agreed to do back in June. I am rather concerned that this time next week I should be completely ready!
