Today’s the day, the tree surgeons came to cut down my Christmas tree.
I do know it is too big for the garden but I am very sorry to see it go. The guys that came - Dan and Patrick were really efficient and actually cut the tree down in less than 25 minutes. This is Richard half way up the trees using the old branches as foot. They cleared up so well as well, it doesn’t look as bad as I expected. We asked for the trunk not to be cut down to ground level as we plan to make a bird table and we also kept a chunk of the trunk as Ian has promised to try and turn me a bowl as a permanent memento of my tree.
