28th April 2020

Day 36 of lock down.

It’s Tuesday (just had to remind myself)!

It was pouring with rain today which is good for the garden which had been getting very dry and also good for us so we can watch our weather statin gradually collect rainwater over the day. The had been forecast so I planned a trip to the Post Office again figuring that people are less likely to want to queue in the pouring rain than the bright sun. Spot on, there was absolutely nobody in the Post Office whenI arrived and I could finally drop off my parcel that has been sitting on the stairs for a couple weeks now. Afterwards I queued behind just one person to nip into M&S and even inside it was definitely better with a lot less people.

Mum was due to go into hospital today for the second of her 6 monthly courses of drips for her after cancer care. I had been worried about her going in but when we caught up fora chat she was really surprised that she seemed to be the only patient in there. Nursing staff were very nice but seemed to have a lack of PPE and the nurse administering the drip did not seem to be that efficient and Mum nw has a massive bump and bruise of her arm where the nurse incorrectly tried to flush her out with saline - thank goodness it was only saline or she wouldn’t be here now!

This afternoon I played around with the free trial version I downloaded yesterday of Capture One - it’s way more powerful than Aperture but there is so much to learn and only youtube videos and online guides - I’d like a hard copy book really!

Pasta in sauce tonight as I felt too tired to do anything more elaborate.
