I know how to have a romantic Valentine’s day - give the walls of the spare room a second coat of emulsion and paint the mirror frame and panels on the door. It was much quicker today as it is the cutting that takes the time and I rollered so well yesterday that I did not have to redo the entire room.
As it is Valentine’s day we had our traditional meal. I created a prawn cocktail starter - very retro in sundae glasses then Colin cooked duck with his speciality of orange sauce and we finished up with the lemon flan that I had made this morning. It was delicious and all washed down with a nice bottle of Malbec.
