22nd December 2021

1 year, 263 days since the start of the 1st lock down in March 2020

We were up early and straight out to Lidl this morning to stock up for a possible Christmas here at home. There was a heavy frost so it took a while to scrape the car. In the event Lidl was pretty quiet and very well stocked. As we are all going to take LFTs on Christmas Day, we will not know until then if we are all clear of Covid and can go around to Karen and Ian’s house later on Christmas Day. We have a nice rolled turkey and various trimmings, all of which can be frozen if not needed and equally we have enough to host Chris as well.

I have decided on a mango and lime pavlova as my dessert for making next week at Mum’s - now I just need to find canned mango.

This afternoon Colin made the royal icing for our Christmas cake (well we didn’t quite make it but we did marzipan it!).

Last thing this evening Colin spotted a cheeky fox sat by out bird bath - I did get a pic but it was very grainy on my phone - that’s why Bruin is featuring today in his Christmas outfit complete with lights on a timer!
