Vauxhall again! This is the fifth time I have been at Vauxhall station in the last three weeks, yet again dropping off a lens to be repaired. It struck me that the area in and around Vauxhall station has never seemed to be completed. I started commuting via Vauxhall station some seven years ago and now still visit occasionally - in all that time there has always been cranes or scaffolding around the place. The South West train actually adds a splash of colour in this rather drab place - sorry Vauxhall!
@nicolaeastwood I've also spent unhappy hours on the Shepperton and Strawberry Hill train during power failures/leaves on the line/snow on the line/too hot lines and on one occasion a swan on the line!!
@nicolaeastwood Well we are in Teddington you know!! @maggiemae it is quite drab in this area, London has some much more attractive places! @danette Thank you Danette :-)
again - good looking - always noticing the extraordinary in the ordinary. The colors all work together - one first notices the impact of the red against the very clear and crisp grey of the buildings. Then more comes into view - the red of the crane - mimicing the red on the train - the blue of the buildings behind forming a background and echoing the blue on the train. A photo with impact and lots for the eye to wander around.
I spend way too much of my time passing through, stuck or frustrated at that station. But you know what, I always like watching the skyline change and all those cranes!
