My daffodils above the fireplace have opened in less than 24-hours and my husband suggested in all their magnificence they should be a still life for todays photograph. The words ‘still life’ got me thinking... so here it is.
My daffodils, an old picture frame from the loft and my bear. I really liked @steampowered ‘Not Frank’ picture and so thought I’d feature Lonely Bear as well.
Lonely Bear was bought when a local shop closed down and he was some of the last stock to be sold off cheap. I actually bought him for my sister but liked him so much he never left the house! He looks lonely and for some reason I think he looks like an evacuee in the second world war whom no-one came to collect - no idea where I got that thought from!
Process - some blue-tac to balance the frame, a Lastolite reflector held by my husband who was responsible for all of this and some processing afterwards in ‘Aperture’ to lighten and clone out shadows.
This looks "picture perfect". So clear and almost artificial but in a great way. Isn't it fun to have a supportive husband who takes interest and pride in your work.
He does look a little blue, although with the daffodils, you would think he cheer up.
