26th May 2013

Today is the final day of the Chelsea Flower Show and sadly all the amazing gardens are being taken apart. This is one of the flowers that featured in the First Touch garden (see 20th May - http://365project.org/emmadurnford/365/2013-05-20). It is a Small Camas (Camassia quamash) - I'll be honest, I'd never heard of it before. I love it as it's my favourite colour blue and looks so delicate.

I was a bit pushed today for a photograph as despite the good weather I have been editing and prepping the images I took yesterday at the wedding reception, nearly done now.
I love the colors!

@ryanarra2 Thank you Maddie - I love all blue things, probably needed to spend longer sorting out my DoF though!

I never heard of it before either, but your photograph is lovely. You've captured the colour and the delicacy, and I like the bits of yellow.

@danette I was really lucky - a big thank you to my friends at First Touch who gave me the ticket.

@tristansmum I thought it might be in the bluebell family but apparently not. It originates in North America so maybe we'll see in in September.
