Well the lack of color causes It to lose some of its artistic quality but it definitely helps us focus better on the actual message of the graffiti

Rather than being about the color, the black and white has a very journalistic feel to it- and like Katy says, it puts the focus on what the graffiti was about. A piece of preserved history.
