If it hadn't been for the Flashofred challenge, I never would have tried this shot in B&W. It makes me notice their expressions more, not the color of their costumes nor the sparkle of their sequins.
I was thinking that I noticed their expressions first too. Great picture! Love the B&W. It tells such a story....that the build up to the parade is not nearly as exciting as when they finally get to march! 😊
I am blanking out on the photographer who said this at the moment but that is absolutely true. "He" said that when you photograph people in color you photograph their clothes. But when you photograph people in black and white you photograph their soul. This is an excellent shot!
